“She believed she couldn’t, and so God did. God doesn’t call us to strength, He actually calls us to Him. And that means we don’t have to be strong; He is. Where we can’t; He can.” Lara Casey.
Have you ever read or heard something that you knew God meant for you to hear right at that moment—the kind of knowing that resonates in your soul and allows your breathing to relax, your mind to settle, and your heart to rest?
I was listening to the ‘Cultivate Your Life’ podcast one morning—and when I heard Lara Casey speak those words—I knew that God meant for me to hear them right then.
We aren’t meant to bear the weight of the strength required to manage our trials on our own. We are meant to take our trials to God and ask for His strength. We are meant to lay our burdens at the foot of the cross and ask Jesus to walk with us through them—borrowing the strength that only He can offer us.
He knows the beginning from the end—and the end is always for our good. The journey may be full of pain, challenge, heartbreak, and confusion—but the only strength required of us is to surrender and ask for His help.
What burden are you laboring under today? What trial are you trying so hard to carry on your own and walk through in your weakness?
Help is just one act of surrender away.
