“Faith thanks God in the middle of the story.” Ann Voskamp
As we plod on toward the end of another year, do you find yourself in the middle of something? It could be realizing a dream, walking through grief, finding answers, or a hundred other life stories.
Scripture tells us that “faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see” (Hebrews 11:1, NIV). Sometimes it’s easier to have faith at the outset or when we look back in hindsight—but what about when we’re in the midst of the mire?
That’s when we lean into our hope in Christ and the assurance that He’s right there walking alongside us. We trust that God is faithful always, and that He is enough.
Whether we’re on the cusp or at twilight or slap-bang in the middle of our adventure in life, we can come to God in faith with grateful hearts.
Grateful that He is the unwavering object of our faith.
Grateful that He is sovereign and nothing takes Him by surprise.
Grateful that He continues to write our story…
Friend, in the messy middle—whether chapters brim over with pain or praise—we can choose to have faith in the One who is unchanging and all-loving and knows the good ending: our faithful Author of life.
