Management Team & Staff
FOUNDER | EDITOR IN CHIEF
Hi! I’m Sandi and I’m married to Tim and the mom to 5 children—3 of whom are not really children anymore! I have 4 boys (27, 24, 21, and 16) and a 9-year-old daughter. While running a magazine has always been a dream of mine, it took many years to arrive at a place of peace about stepping out in faith to begin The Joyful Life.
Prior to starting The Joyful Life, I spent 12 years running a photography business and teaching photography workshops across the country. I’m so grateful for the ability to use the creative work experience God blessed me with toward something that will be intentionally used for His glory. This magazine is born out of a desire to encourage women to grow into a closer and deeply authentic relationship with Jesus by inviting Him wholeheartedly into their daily lives. I believe that ALL of life is ALL for Jesus and my hope is that The Joyful Life will be an inspiring reflection of that.
When I’m not managing the day to day tasks of running the magazine, you can usually find me sitting on our back deck with my husband—enjoying our waterfall and our beautiful Colorado Springs weather, working on a DIY project, reading, writing, perusing Pinterest for the very best recipes, or cooking—and always with coffee nearby. Always.
Sandi is the Editor in Chief and Founder of The Joyful Life and also serves as the creative director for the publication and company.
Tiffany is wife to her childhood friend-turned college sweetheart and mama to three lovely girls. Her family recently traded in the suburb life for a 5-acre farm and a brood of chickens, and they’re loving the breath of fresh air! She delights in reading, kayaking, baking, forest hikes, discovering vintage books, playing games with her family, and helping out at her daughters’ school. Tiffany is a writer, editor, Bible teacher, and habitual encourager seeking to make theology tangible for our everyday. She advocates for deep intentional study of God’s Word and helps unearth biblical treasures right along with you on her Instagram. For her, to live is Christ (Phil. 1:21), and moment-by-moment dependency on Him is the source of all beauty and goodness. One of her greatest and most fulfilling joys is the gracious opportunity to manage content, walk alongside other writers, and do creative heart-work as the Managing Editor here at The Joyful Life.
Dannae and her college sweetheart live in Gilbert, AZ. As a mom of three young kiddos, she loves creating a house that feels like home, and making fun and intentional experiences for her family. When Dannae isn’t spending time with the people she loves you may find her reading a book, coloring, or organizing something in her house. Hosting people for good food, drinks and games is her favorite way to spend a Friday night and she is always looking for a new way to love on others.
Her passion is to help women to experience the love of Jesus so deeply that they feel the freedom to be themselves. Writing has been a buried dream of hers for years and her role at the Joyful Life is a culmination of so many things God has placed on her heart. She couldn’t be more grateful that God led her to this ministry!
ASSOCIATE MANAGING EDITOR
A Scottish native, Vicki now calls Upstate New York home, where she lives with her husband and two young daughters. A writer turned editor, she loves to encourage women to pursue Jesus-centered, joy-filled living in the gloriously hard and wonderful trenches of motherhood. Being part of the Joyful Life team and community is both a blessing and a privilege, providing an opportunity for her to combine her gifts and passions in a unique and special way to speak truth into the hearts and lives of women.
In her ‘free’ time Vicki loves to consume books and strong coffee, and get outdoors to enjoy the very varied, yet consistently beautiful seasons of the Northeast. You can connect with her on Facebook, Instagram, or on her website at vicki-bentley.com.
MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER
Lauren is a writer and a wife to Matthew. She has been privileged to call many cities, states, countries, and continents home throughout her life. Her transient life cultivated in her a love for different people and cultures, leading her to pursue a Masters in Christian and Intercultural Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
On any given day you can find her trying out new recipes with her husband, hiking in the mountains, cuddling with her rescue pup, or working on perfecting her latte art. Lauren writes as a way to care for people and to point to the Word and what is true about God. She is particularly passionate about writing on the intersection between suffering and faith, and writes openly about how God’s goodness and grace has met her during her experiences with depression, doubt, and infertility. You can find her writing at lauren-bowerman.com or on Instagram.
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER
Jordan and her husband, Michael, planted roots near where they both grew up and a suburb of Dallas, TX. In the midst of the pandemic, the two welcomed their first baby into the world. Life now looks like afternoon swings, playdates with grandparents, and crawling around the house with their babe and golden retriever puppy.
When she’s not chasing her speedy baby around the house, you can find Jordan walking around the neighborhood, grabbing coffee with friends, or enjoying a book series. Jordan unofficially named “walks” her love language and they remain a priority even in the TX summer heat.
After spending most of her career in an agency setting, she decided to shift gears and focus on a role that more directly aligned with her passion to love on and encourage women wherever they are in their faith journey.
Jordan is excited to watch her corporately-gained skills intersect with her desire to encourage and equip women with the message of the gospel through her role at The Joyful Life.
