FOUNDER | EDITOR IN CHIEF
Hi! I’m Sandi and I’m a wife and mom to 5 children, 3 of whom are not really children anymore! I have 4 boys (24, 21, 18, and 13) and a 6-year-old daughter. While running a magazine has always been a dream of mine, it took many years to arrive at a place of peace about stepping out in faith to begin The Joyful Life. I write at sandisutton.com and prior to starting The Joyful Life, I spent 12 years running a photography business and teaching photography workshops across the country. I’m so grateful for the ability to use the creative work experience God blessed me with toward something that will be intentionally used for His glory. This magazine is born out of a desire to encourage women to grow into a closer and deeply authentic relationship with Jesus by inviting Him wholeheartedly into their daily lives. I believe that ALL of life is ALL for Jesus and my hope is that The Joyful Life will be an inspiring reflection of that.
When I’m not managing the day to day tasks of running the magazine, you can usually find me running here, there and everywhere with my kids, watching This Is Us, Fixer Upper re-runs, or Hawaii Life with my husband (we were married in Kauai—so it’s like a little glimpse of home away from home), working on a DIY project, reading, writing, perusing Pinterest for the very best recipes, or cooking—and always with coffee nearby. Always.
Sandi is the editor and founder of The Joyful Life and also serves as the creative director and designer for the publication and company.
Tiffany Edmonds is a writer, Bible teacher, and habitual encourager seeking to make theology tangible for our everyday. She advocates for deep intentional study of God’s Word and helps unearth biblical treasures right along with you on her personal blog at tiffanyedmonds.com.
A happy wife to her childhood friend-turned college sweetheart, mama of three daughters, homeschooler, and baker, means she’s writing in the margins and bathing in grace. For her, to live is Christ, and moment-by-moment walking in dependency on the Holy Spirit defines life’s greatest pursuit.
Dannae recently moved to Gilbert, AZ from sunny Southern California where she worked as a Resident Director at a small Christian University for the past eight years. She is wife to her hilarious husband Chris and mom to two crazy but awesome kiddos (with another baby coming in May). She loves creating a house that feels like home, making fun and intentional experiences for her family and having “heart” conversations with others over coffee. Her passion is to help women to experience the love of Jesus so deeply that they feel the freedom to be themselves.
When Dannae isn’t spending time with the people she loves you may find her reading a book, coloring, or organizing something in her house. She is so excited to be a part of The Joyful Life and can’t wait to see how God continues to use the magazine to inspire women all over the world!
COMMUNITY MANAGER, BIBLE TEACHER,
PRINT EDITOR & DEVOTION TEAM
Aimee Walker is a former pastor turned writer. A kiwi girl, she lives by the beach in Auckland, New Zealand with hubby Dave and three of their four children. These days you’re most likely to find her with a strong cup of coffee in hand as she juggles writing alongside homeschooling and navigating the toddler and tween years! A total word girl, but most of all a lover of His Word, Aimee is passionate about helping people understand and encounter the truth of the Scriptures so that they can live in the fullness of all God has planned and purposed for their lives.
Hi, I’m Christine! I’m an elementary school teacher turned stay-at-home-mom. I’m married to my best friend, Dave and we are the parents of 4 boys (10, 8, 6, and 3) – our greatest gifts. I love to help behind the scenes. Over the years, I’ve served in many different leadership roles, both paid and volunteer, at school, in the community, and at my church. I find joy in helping facilitate and serve in whatever area I’m needed. I have a strong desire to love on, and encourage, women in their day to day life and to remind them that hope has a name…”JESUS!” When I’m not checking off my to-do list, you will most likely find me sipping a cup of coffee, crafting something, singing, or on an adventure with my family.
Christine keeps everything moving forward at The Joyful Life. She basically manages ALL the things – and there are a lot of things to manage. If it needs to be done, it gets done, because she makes sure it gets done.
SOCIAL MEDIA ASSISTANT
Hi there, I’m Kaylie, also known as Pocahontas to immediate family. I love to sing, not well might I add, during any situation. I discovered my hidden talent of mad libbing songs about any circumstances I find myself in when I was fifteen, and I haven’t stopped since. On a more serious note, I love Jesus and I love people. I strive to show gospel love in many different ways, whether it’s by inviting friends, family, and even strangers to a home cooked meal, randomly giving gifts, or just showing up to events that are important to them. I’m passionate about traveling and I’m so blessed to get paid to explore and take adventures while serving as a Flight Attendant. My full time job has taken me to some pretty great heights, but most of all it has given me a front row seat to some of the most beautiful sights on this earth and the ability to meet so many precious people that I would never have had the opportunity to meet otherwise.
Kaylie is responsible for all of the social media design and content at The Joyful Life. She keeps the Instagram feed pretty and writes from the heart to encourage women toward a closer walk with Jesus.
Tresta Payne lives in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with her husband and four kids. She’s a homeschool mom, high school tutor and volleyball coach, and writer whose articles have appeared at Fathom Mag, Morning by Morning, Kindred Mom, and her blog. She obsesses over fir trees, her dog, and her family on Instagram, and is constantly trying to read more books than her brain allows. Jesus holds her together. You can read more from Tresta on her personal blog at trestapayne.com.
