Statement of Faith

GOD

We believe there is only ONE true God, who eternally exists in three persons known as The Trinity…The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit…each equally possessing the full nature of Diety with distinct characteristics of personality.

the Father

We believe that God the Father spoke creation into existence for His purpose and glory and that He sovereignly rules, governs, and cares for His beloved creation. We believe that through faith in Jesus Christ by grace alone, we can become heirs of God, His adopted children, and know Him intimately as our Father.

the son

We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal son of the living God. He is the physical incarnation of the living Word of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He is fully God and fully human. He fulfilled the entirety of the law and prophesies through his sinless life and voluntary death on the cross. Through His substitutionary death he satisfied divine justice and accomplished salvation for all who put their faith in Him as their Savior.

the holy spirit

We believe The Holy Spirit has come into the world to exist in the hearts of believers for the purpose of revealing and glorifying Christ. The Holy Spirit draws sinners to Christ, convicts of sin, and imparts new life and righteousness to those who place their faith in Jesus. He is the living God residing in our hearts and He empowers and equips believers for sanctification and for bearing fruit for the glory of God.

scripture

We believe the Bible to be the only infallible and living Word of God, divinely inspired and written by men consisting of 66 books (39 Old Testament books and 27 New Testament books). We believe the Bible to be without error and perfectly authoritative in its original writings and given to us as a gift of revelation of God’s perfect will for the salvation of man through Jesus Christ. We believe that the Bible is the supreme and final authority on every subject relating to mankind.

We believe All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17 ESV

man

We believe that God created man in His own image and for His purpose and glory. We believe that Adam and Eve introduced sin into mankind through an act of disobedience to God that resulted in their alienation from God. This act of disobedience corrupted the nature of mankind and created the inability of man to please God, or walk with Him, apart from redemption.

salvation

We believe that salvation is the gift of God’s free grace alone and it is not within man’s ability, in whole or in part, to earn salvation by any means. God imparts His righteousness to those who put their faith in Christ and justifies them as an act of amazing grace.

the church

We believe that Jesus Christ is the Head of the Church, His Body, and that the church consists of all people, living and dead, who have put their faith in Him for salvation. The church is instructed clearly in scripture to gather together regularly for the purpose of worship, edification, and mutual encouragement.

the gospel

We believe that the Gospel is the Good News of Jesus Christ’s life, death, resurrection and free gift of salvation. As believers our primary calling is to proclaim the Gospel and bring glory to God through all that we do.

redemption

We believe that Jesus will victoriously return to earth – personally, visibly, and bodily – where He will exercise His final judgment and consummate history and the eternal plan of God. We believe that on that day The Church will stand faultless before God, through grace alone, by the obedience, suffering and triumphant victory of Jesus Christ. We believe that on that day our redemption will be made fully complete and everything will be restored to the praise of his glorious grace…eternally.
